VSB Budget Cuts
Well this is bad. The VSB is cutting our school orchestral group (it's officially called band but it's not anything like a band.) ! It's because Vancouver spent all our money on the Olympics. Price to pay, huh? My best friends and I are making a petition and we need as many people as possible to sign it. If you want you can post a comment saying how the budget cuts are terrible.

I'm very sad to hear about the budget cuts too, I hear the VSB is having to make some pretty awful decisions. Band is so important, I remember the excitement of learning a new instrument and it's something that should be offered to students.
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago there was all this talk about a teacher shortage for the coming years, with the population boom and number of teachers about to retire.
How disconcerting for students in university now, learning to be a teacher!
Thats horrible! I don't know what I would do if my school's prgrams got cut. They were thinking about it, so now we need more money. Our principal says we might have to wear uniforms next year. And it;s a public school!
